Other Volunteer Info

Thank you for your interest in volunteering! This site is being updated - please check back in a few days for more detailed volunteer information!

Judges

The goal of the Rhode Worthy Cup is to provide the highest-quality, unbiased evaluation and feedback for the craft beverage producers of Rhode Island. We invite professionals - producers, journalists, Cicerones, and accredited judges - to join our judging panels. If you believe you are qualified, please register on the site with your qualifications, listing any additionally relevant info in the 'notes to organizer' section. Judges will receive a stipend to help offset costs of travel and/or transportation. Thank you!

Judge Profiles will be shared via RWC social media. If a judge does not want to have their profile shared, please also indicate this in your 'notes to organizer' section.

Stewards and Staff

Every successful event would not be possible without the help of a large number of volunteers! If you are not yet qualified as a judge but would like to help out and see how a competition runs behind the scenes, please register as a Steward and/or Staff Member. If there are certain positions you are interested in, or you have specific strengths, conmpetition experience, and/or areas of expertise, please list those in the 'notes to organizer' section.

Stewards will need to arrive earlier than judges to help with the event set-up, and will receive lunch before judging begins as well as a variety of thank-you gifts (including awesome beer!) after the judging is complete.

Both Judges and Stewards/Staff are invitied to stay for the Rhode Worthy After Party in the Taproom at The Guild. A light dinner will be provided, and you will have a chance to mingle and chat with a diverse group of professionals from across the brewing industry. There will also be entertainment in the taproom, and tons of great beer on tap!
